The Federal Government to Begin Drug Alternative Sampling Testing All Federal Employees.
Only One Local Firm is Ready to Provide the Service

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released proposed guidelines on alternative specimen and on-site drug testing that will SIGNIFICANTLY alter how drug and alcohol testing programs are administered. These guidelines will have a much larger impact on both federally mandated and private sector drug testing than the introduction of Department of Transportation rules had since their institution in 1986.

DataPool realizes the full impact that these guidelines will have on drug testing. The Certified Testing, division of DataPool, Inc., is the only collection facility in Virginia Nationally Accredited for Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Administration by The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association.

All of the staff at DataPool-Certified Testing are Certified Professional Collectors trained in alternative specimen techniques, such as, oral fluids, hair and sweat. The firm has two Richmond offices, one on Southside, near Johnston-Willis Hospital in Southport and another in the West End near I-64 and Parham Road. The collectors also go to businesses to perform on-site sampling and 24 hour post incident collections.

“We have a significant drug and alcohol abuse problem today and now a plan to control it” said David Mathis, Director of DataPool employer services.
